PRESIDENT
Dato’ Seri Megat D. Shariman is a senior business leader with more than 20 years of rich experience. He is involved in many fields such as project management, strategic marketing and business development. His business scope covers infrastructure construction, defense and security, education technology, logistics, finance and manufacturing.
Since 2003, he has served as GIG Technology Holdings Sdn. Bhd’s Executive director, fully responsible for the group’s strategic direction, operations and R&D projects. He is also a member of the board of directors of a number of companies, including MARA Corporation Sdn. Bhd., and served as the chairman and shareholder of HWG Investment Bank (Labuan), leading the bank’s strategic growth.
As an advocate who actively promotes entrepreneurship and social influence, he founded the National Entrepreneur Foundation (Yayasan Usahawan Negara) and the National Hydrocephalus Negara Foundation (Yayasan Hydrocephalus Negara), and served as a director of the National Athlete Welfare Foundation (Yayasan Kebajikan Atlet Kebangsaan), dedicated to promoting social care and national well-being.
In the field of sports, he is currently the Chairman of the Para Council of Malaysia and a member of the Majlis Sukan Negara, and has held a number of important positions at the international and regional levels, including the Executive director of the Asian Para Olympic Committee and the representative of Southeast Asia and the Asean Sports Federation for Persons with Disabilities (Member of the Board of Directors of ASEAN Para Sports Federation). He also served as the head of the Malaysian delegation to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics (Chef de Mission), and also served as the chairman of the Malaysian Swimming Association for the Disabled and the Blind Polo Association, actively promoting the development of sports for the disabled.
With excellent leadership and philanthropic spirit, Datuk Seri Mecca Shariman takes “Quality, innovation and talent cultivation” as its core management philosophy, and actively participates in a number of professional institutions, including the Malaysian Institute of Management and the Malaysian Alliance of Corporate Directors. And the Marketing Institute of Malaysia (Marketing Institute of Malaysia).

Throughout his career, he has received notable accolades including the Holiday Inn International Torchbearer’s Award (Top 50 hotels globally), the Inter-Hotel Gold Award for Performance and Productivity, and the Tourism Gold Award from the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia.
Tan Sri Azman has held influential positions in Malaysia’s hospitality sector, serving over a decade as President of the Malaysian Association of Hotels and contributing as a member of the Malaysian Tourism Board. Regionally, he also served as President of the ASEAN Tourism Association (ASEANTA) and the ASEAN Hotel and Restaurant Association (AHRA). His significant contributions earned him state honorary awards from two Malaysian rulers and the King.
